The St Ives Sub Aqua club has three SISAC Awards and Trophies, these are, the Diver of the Year, the Member of the Year and the Photography Award. They are awarded annually, normally at the Christmas party.
Diver of the Year
The first of the SISAC Awards and Trophies is The Diver of the year award. It is awarded by the Diving Officer.
The first of the SISAC Awards and Trophies is the Diver of the year award. Presented to a member for exceptional participation and/or achievement. Normally within the first year or year and a half of joining the branch.
This may be successful achievement of diving grades during training, involvement in dive trips, involvement and/or organising branch activities including diving trips and expeditions.
The award is a miniature diving helmet mounted on a marble block. Presented to the winner for the coming year at the Christmas Dinner. It is returned at the end of the year for the next winner.

Member of the Year
The second of the SISAC Awards and Trophies is the Member of the Year award. It is awarded by the branch membership, to any member of the branch for contributions made to the branch over the previous 12 months. Voting occurs at or around the AGM and is organised by the current branch committee.
This can be for any reason the members wish, from diving activities, to organisational contributions.
The award is a large shield. Presented to the winner for the coming year at the Christmas Dinner, it is returned at the end of the year for the next winner.

The Photography award is the newest branch award, conceived by John Skerry in 2012.
The third of the SISAC Awards and Trophies is the Photography Trophy.
The increase in affordable underwater photography had resulted in a lot of photographs from a variety of members being uploaded to the branch forum. It was felt that the branch should offer an award for the ‘Best picture of the year’.
The award itself is an etching of a diver (provided by Andy Rowe) mounted in a Brass Porthole (provided by Doug Hunter from the wreck of the SS Lanterna). The porthole sits in a teak block. Presented to the winner for the coming year at the Christmas Dinner, it is returned at the end of the year for the next winner.
The award is awarded to the branch member for the best diving photograph of the previous 12 months.
The original judges where Marion Nightingale and the previous years Winner (giving others a chance).
Currently the award is by popular vote by branch members.

Trophy declared to Receiver of Wrecks Droit No: 370/14 in December 2014. The porthole was given to SISAC in lieu of salvage 29 July 2015 by the receiver of Wrecks, in accordance with section 243 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995. A copy of the Letter from the Receiver of wrecks is in the forum folders area for reference.
The SS Lanterna was lost in 1916 after detonating a mine.
